Your licence
What you get when you sign up your organization yourself.
An organization you create yourself at account.starthaven.com starts on a complimentary licence. There is no card to enter and nothing is charged.
Haven Business pricing is not published yet. If you would like a quote for your team, contact us.
Seats
One seat per person, added as you go.
- Every member of your organization uses a seat, owners and admins included.
- An invite that has not been accepted yet holds a seat too. Revoke an invite you no longer need to free its seat.
- You do not buy seats in advance. Inviting someone adds a seat for them.
- An organization can grow to 1,000 seats on its own. If you need more, contact us and we will raise the limit.
Who manages billing
Owners and admins.
Both owners and admins can open Billing in the console. Members cannot. If an IT provider manages your organization for you, they do not see your billing either.
On a complimentary licence, Billing tells you that Haven handles your billing, and there is nothing to change there.
Organizations billed by card
If your organization pays Haven by card.
Some organizations pay Haven by card through Stripe. For them, Billing opens a secure Stripe page where an owner or admin can update the card, download invoices and manage the subscription.
Your plan is charged per seat. Inviting someone when every seat is taken adds a seat, and you are charged for it for the rest of the current billing period. Removing someone frees their seat for the next person but does not lower your seat count. To reduce it, contact us.
If your licence lapses
The console locks, and Billing stays open.
If your organization's licence ends, every organization page except Billing is hidden until it is renewed. Owners and admins see a message on their home page saying the subscription is inactive.
- Billed by card: open Billing to renew or fix the card.
- Complimentary licence: contact us and we will renew it.

Do I need a card to start Haven Business?
No. An organization you create yourself starts on a complimentary licence, with no card and no charge.
Does a pending invite use a seat?
Yes. An invite holds a seat until it is accepted or revoked, so revoke any invite you no longer need.
Can an admin manage billing, or only the owner?
Both. Owners and admins can open Billing in the console. Members and outside IT providers cannot.
What happens to our console if our licence lapses?
Every organization page except Billing is hidden until the licence is renewed, and owners and admins see a message on their home page saying the subscription is inactive. Renew from Billing, or contact us if your licence is complimentary.
